We extend the IEO on Latoken. This is why.

We are extending our IEO: It won’t end on October 15th, but at the end of the year. Why this is a good thing for all of us (including you), we explain below.

Adapting to the market

Let’s get right to it: A fundraising campaign takes time to develop its full power. We learned that in the best way (see below). And we decided to learn from that — and react.

In the last days, we received numerous signs of interest by high-value investors. They indicated that they see great potential in the future of the COY and its ecosystem. Having potential means: We are not there yet. — But that’s not an issue for longterm investors. Quite the contrary!

Through the first conversation with those investors, we found out: They need significantly more time to decide and to work out a deal with us. They need to dive deeper into our token’s use case, the products of its ecosystem, and the market of it.

On top, especially institutional investors prefer a steady, non-volatile environment during the negotiations. This gets more clear if you imagine how an investment deal is being made: Negotiations typically last several months. So if an investor receives tokens for its investment, agreeing on a token amount gets too difficult if its price is changing every day through market movements. — The IEO with its fixed price solves this.

Why 2,5 months?

We want you to plan and have no further surprises. Choosing a shorter extension period might require us to extend the IEO another time, and we don’t want to do that.

A last word

We are very happy to see this confidence in our journey, and we want to succeed. We want the token and the ecosystem to shine — for all its stakeholders. For this, we need the support of big investors, and we want to give them the time to get to know us and work out investment agreements which are perfect for them and us.

This is why we extended the IEO until the end of the year.
